my first and the gimme gimmes This tunnel shows the top of the crystal patches John Denver, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Billy Joel, and George Gershwin. Cross dressing, all night Vicadin fueled rock armadas, karaoke, and Jagermeister. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. These are a few of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes favorite things.

Hi-Standard
Since 1991, HI-STANDARD has been a driving force in the Japanese underground music scene. Their eclectic and melodic approach to songwriting has garnered the band an enormous following that is quickly expanding from the Far East to the far reaches of the globe.
HI-STANDARD mixes catchy melodies with speed, harmony, and energy. As a reference point, you could use a Japanese hybrid of NOFX and the Toy Dolls, but their sound is still uniquely their own. They've got three full lengths on FAT and they're still going strong!

no use for a name NO USE FOR A NAME is a four piece hardcore outfit based out of Sunnyvale, California. Tony and Rory formed the band in 1987, followed by a succession of lead guitarists. The current line-up with Matt Riddle on bass and Dave Nassie on guitar has broadened the band's sound while preserving their impact and power.
With four FAT full lengths under their belt (including the most recent slab of goodness, More Betterness), following two albums on New Red Archives, the boys of NO USE are as prolific as they are chick magnets!

Tony Sly: Vocals, Guitar
Rory Koff: Drums
Dave Nassie: Lead Guitar
Matt Riddle: Bass

tilt Tilt came out of the East Bay Punk/Gilman scene in 1992. They have 3 FAT full lengths which followed a debut album on Lookout! The urgent yet melodic power of their songs are accentuated by lyrics filled with social commentary and dark humor. And the blazing vocals of Cinder Block proves you don't have to be a guy to be hardcore.

lag wagon Santa Barbara's pride and joy, LAGWAGON, has been belting 'em out since 1990. Their catchy brand of punk is an infectious blend of pop and hardcore, lyrically tackling an array of personal politics. This punky quintet secured a massive worldwide following with their five FAT full lengths and a touring schedule that would have made the Stones blush. And we won't even mention their hotel-trashing on tour antics. . .
Lagwagon is taking it a bit easier these days while singer Joey runs his own record label and the other guys do whatever it is the other guys do. . .drummer Dave has been spotted lately moonlighting as drummer for both Good Riddance and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (Joey is in Me First and the Gimme Gimmes as well). Guitarist Chris Rest, more commonly referred to as Leon, spends his free time working with sufferers of allergy disorders. Jesse is missing in action in the Santa Cruz mountains (if anyone sees Jesse, can you please send him to Fat?), and Chris Flippin is off in Santa Barbara being unusually tall.

propagandi Propagandhi are three skids from the most backwards reaches of the Canadian prairies, forged in the flames of mid-80's political hardcore and early-80's speed metal. Known to visibly cringe when referred to as anything containing the words "anarcho-" or "punks", these tattoo-less, colored-hair-less, piercing-less, track-pants and hockey-jacket wearing loogans enjoy spending their free time basking in the rays of rumour and innuendo.
Their new record entitled "Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes" features a mind-bending enhanced cd and is out now! Prepare to be thrashed.

screwching weasel
Screeching Weasel went through some major changes while they were on FAT, and they only made the band stronger, faster, and even more pissed sounding!
Screeching Weasel are now on Ben and Jughead's very own record label, Panic Button Records. We're really happy for them and wish them a lot of luck!

Ben Weasel: All Vocals
Dan Lumley: Drums
Mass Giorgini: Bass
Jughead: Rythm Guitar, No Vocals
Phillip Aaron Presley: Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals

Screen Shot: Hyper Lander 2 Classic Technical and aggressive yet melodic and emotional, Strung Out has emerged from the grossly populated southern California music scene as one of the strongest and most creative melodic punk bands in the scene. Strung Out formed in 1992 and instantly achieved recognition for their ability to creatively fuse punk, metal, and progressive rock. They soon independently released a 7" which garnered the attention of us folks here at Fat and we pulled the quintet aboard.

Strung Out has built a solid worldwide fan base through years of touring and progression as songwriters and performers. With three full length records and two EP's under their belt, numerous tours of the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia, Strung Out's plan for letting the world know who they are has only just begun.

Jason: Vocals
Jake: Rythm Guitar

good ridance
Santa Cruz based Good Riddance, one of Fat's most politically motivated outfits, has been pounding out edgy, melodic punk for nearly ten years running. They've (lucky for us) been with Fat nearly since the beginning and we've been lucky enough to release five full length albums by them. With the addition of their new drummer, Dave Wagenschutz, formerly of Kid Dynamite and Lifetime, Good Riddance is at the top of their game.

Their latest record, Symptoms of a Leveling Spirit, is quite possibly their best yet. 14 songs of the the melodic hardcore that Good Riddance is famous for. Fans of Comprehensive Guide... are sure to enjoy this latest full length, which even includes an enhanced CD and a great cover tune as a hidden track.

Good Riddance are touring maniacs with a penchant for the unusual (that is, if you consider an obsession with Fat's very own Floyd unusual. . .we sure do). Chuck doesn't get naked onstage too much anymore, but back in the day you couldn't pay that man to keep his clothes on! At any rate, check the tour dates because Good Riddance will surely be in your town soon
